Situated at the foot of the Albères mountains, the tradition-rich Catalan village Sorède will welcome you in a green and peaceful setting all year round. If you would like to spend your next holidays in a warm, festive or dynamic way, think about spending it here!

Activities in the village

In the village of Sorède you can go for a walk in the sunny narrow alleys, enjoy some of the events, taking place all year round and discover the conviviality of the village's inhabitants. During the summer season there are guided tours of the village, of the pilgrimage church Notre-Dame du Château, ... Furthermore you can visit Sorèdes tradition-rich factory for whips and riding crops all year round - it's free, visit the wildlife park "Vallée des Tortues" or take a look at the sundial at place Padre Himalaya, the reconstructed Catalan forge, the solar furnace, ... 

Would you like to spend some time at the seaside?

Located just a few kilometers away from the Mediterranean Sea (about 7 minutes by car), Sorède is a perfect starting point, if you want to explore the Catalan coastal strip. The Catalan coastal strip offers something for all tastes: the fine sandy beaches of Argelès-sur-Mer and Saint-Cyprien as well as the wild rocky coasts of Collioure, Port-Vendres, Banyuls-sur-Mer, ...

Do you want to do sports?

Do you like to go hiking or mountain biking? There are a lot of beautiful hiking trails and cart roads in the Albères! Some of them start directly in the village of Sorède. Also the impressive mountain Canigou is not far away...

But there are not only alpine sports here! In the region around Sorède you can also do various watersports, try archery, go fishing, play tennis, …

There are a lot of interesting sights to discover!

Experience the natural and cultural treasures of the nearby villages Castelnou, Thuir with its Byrrh caves, Elne with its lovely monastery, Ille-sur-Têt with its incredibly beautiful "fairy chimneys", ... Perpignan, the capital of the departement Pyrénées-orientales, is also worth visiting of course!
